About Ideal Bar

Ideal Bar is VEGA's bar at street level on the corner of Enghavevej and Rejsbygade. Ideal Bar is an integral part of VEGA but at the same time the cozy and intimate bar has a life of its own. Admission is always free, and Ideal Bar has its own, often slightly crooked artistic profile. The bar provides a framework for a series of fixed events and clubs which runs from Wednesday to Saturday.


Wednesdays

On selected Wednesdays you can enjoy intimate live sessions at Ideal Bar, when the club "Os To" (The two of us) invites artists inside to play using a different and more fragile set up than they normally would. The focus of the club is to create those magical moments when the interplay between artist and the audience make it seem like there's only two people in the room. Thus the name of the club.

Thursdays

On Thursdays Ideal Bar offers various different events at Ideal Bar. Among these the extremely popular club Mademoistella & Cille Sessions that combines intimate live performances with clubbing.

Fridays - Frankie Teardrop

Frankie Teardrop is VEGA's rock club that every Friday at Ideal Bar will interpret six decades of rock music. The different decades, 50es & 60es, 70es, 80es and 90es & 00es will each get a Friday and will be explored in every aspect - both to challenge the guests but also to challenge the resident and guest dj's. At FRankie Teardrop there's thus room for alternative tunes, the crooked, the underground but first of all rock, you can dance to!

Saturdays - Svedhytten

Every Saturday Svedhytten (The Sweat Loge) delievers everything from groovy tech house to subtle and danceable disco with a twist of the newest and coolest indie and rock remixes. The club is run by the three young gentlemen David Garset, Ludvig Larsen aka Lou Van, og Thi Nguyen alias Nam Nam, who are all well-known in Copenhagen's night life.

The atmosphere at Svedhytten is intimate and easygoing. Throughout the night the dj’s will sense which direction the crowd wants the party to go and comply with the guest's musical wishes to a large extent. The three young dj’s only have one mission, and that is to make people dance!
